The first visit to the orthodontist should be in the 7th year of the child’s life
The first visit to the orthodontist should be at the age of 7 of the child’s life. Then the therapy probably won’t be necessary, but it can be assumed whether, when and what kind of therapy will be needed. Early therapy can have a beneficial effect on the jaw relationship, eliminate unwanted habits, resolve some speech difficulties, provide space to accommodate permanent teeth, and avoid subsequent tooth extraction. All this facilitates and shortens later therapy.
You should bring an orthopantomogram with you (an RTG scan of all your teeth) and we will refer you, if necessary, to additional recordings to help us make the final decision to start therapy.
